The Potomac Collection by Towson Watch Company is a tribute to America’s golden age of pocket watches—a time when precise horology defined the rhythm of industry, travel, and daily life. Inspired by storied makers like Waltham, Elgin, and Hamilton, each Towson watch in this collection carries forward the values that defined that era: clarity, reliability, and honest craftsmanship.

At its core is the ETA 6498—a Swiss hand-wound movement descended from the large, robust calibers that once kept America’s railroads running on time. Regulated and finished in-house at our workshop in Towson, Maryland, it reflects our commitment to preserving mechanical watchmaking as a serious craft, not just a style, here in the USA.

Design cues nod to the pocket watch era: cathedral hands reminiscent of early 20th-century trench watches, oversized dials built for legibility, and polished stainless-steel cases that balance durability with refinement. These are modern wristwatches built with the ethos of yesterday—meant to be used, appreciated, and eventually passed on.
