The Towson Classic has a hand-guilloche frosted dial with black roman numerals and a sweep-second sub-dial. Handcrafted out of pure sterling silver and treated with heat to achieve its frosted finish. Elegant blued steel cathedral-style hands create contrast and extend's the instrument's formal design and appeal. Rhodium leaf-shaped hands can be chosen to eleganty flow with the otherwise monotone background. The manual movement boasts skeleton bridges, engraved plates, and a gold-plated balance cock. Functions include: second, minute, and hour. Both the front and exhibitionist caseback are presented through domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The piece is water resistant to 30m and has a strap width of 22mm.
Caliber 6498 manual movement with hour, minute and sweep-second functions. Composed of 17 jewels with a 36-hour power-reserve. Adjusted to five positions retaining daily accuracy of +/- 10 seconds.
Frosted Sterling Silver hour/minute and sweep-second dials. Featuring a hand-turned guilloche style using a vintage rose engine by Jochen Benzinger. The sterling silver dial is heat-treated to achieve its frosted effect. The steel hands endure a similar process for their blued finish.
Movement Detailing includes rhodium-finish, heat-treated blued screws, engraved bridges, guilloche wheels and skeletonized base plate. A gold bridge is engraved with TWC shield and signature.
42mm Case high-polish with push-pull crown and 3 ATM water resistance. Scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal on the front. Exhibition display on the back with a satin-finish screw-down border that features several informational imprints, including the number of the timepiece made. 13mm thickness with 22mm lug width.
Available in various dial formats and case materials, including stainless steel, 18k rose gold, and platinum. Production takes 2-3 months. Manufactured in collaboration with Jochen Benzinger in Germany. Calibrated by watchmaker George Thomas and assembled by Hartwig Balke. Movement detailing and finishing may vary across each individual Towson Classic. This skeleton construction features the same components as these Chesapeake Collection reference models, but they are cut-out, engraved, plated and repurposed.
