The first ever Towson Watch Company timepiece, the Mission Chronograph was designed and built in 2000 for an astronaut on a NASA STS-99 mission, which mapped the earth’s surface from the south of Greenland to the northern edge of the Antarctic. The instrument displays clean lines and extraordinary durability. Our latest M250-2 retains the elegant, confident, and explorative traits characteristic of the original M250 two decades ago while further bolstering its utility for space travelers.

The Mission Chronograph was specifically designed for NASA astronauts two decades ago, as Commander Thiele of the Endeavor spacecraft wanted to suit himself and his fellow space companions with American-Made watches for their STS-99 mission. These chronographs proved to serve as faithful companions to the astronauts mapping the earth’s surface from the south of Greenland to the northern edge of the Antarctic. One of the watches is currently located at the National Watch and Clock Museum, commemorating a historic moment in modern horology. This inspired our signature M250, Towson Watch Company’s first collection series that still receives limited runs of 100 timepieces per reference every few years.
