This custom-variant of the Mission Moon | Series Two is now available for purchase below. The elegant interplay of silver and gold brings formality to Towson’s infamous “space chronograph” collection. The three-dimensional rhodium hour-markers capture the warm hue of the rose gold hands. The silver dial features a stamped-guilloche center with white-painted engine-turned sub-dials. The minute-markers and numerals are painted in blue. Choose a matching silver tachymeter or contrasting black tachymeter to complete your Mission Mission.
Functions include a minute-counter at the 12 o’clock sub-dial with two windows for the day and month. The date is indicated by the central moon-crescent hand that points to the 31-day calendar. An hour-counter sub-dial at 6 o’clock contains a moonphase window. The tachymeter scale on the outer ring enables measurement of the average speed between two points. The sweeping chronograph hand at the center is operated by the two pushers on the case. A date-reset pusher on the left side of the case eases operation of the complication-set.
Swiss 7751 Caliber automatic chronograph with 25 jewels and a 46-hr power-reserve. Adjusted to 5 positions and hand-assembled with a Nivarox hairspring, Glucydur balance and an Incabloc shock absorption. Retaining chronometer-grade daily accuracy, losing or gaining no more than 5 seconds a day. Decorated with rhodium-plating, geneva stripes, perlage on the base plate, and heat-treated blued screws. The rotor is skeletonized and engraved.
41mm Stainless Steel case with satin-finished mid-section and bezel. The lugs and free-standing chronograph pushers are high-polished. The push-pull crown and screw-down caseback surrounding the exhibitionist movement display ensure 5 ATM water resistance. The dial and movement are protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflex coating. The case has a thickness of 13.5mm with a lug width of 20mm.
The Mission Moon is a full-calendar chronograph for collectors seeking maximum utility from a mechanical tool watch. This second series of the Mission Moon continues to respect the design and structural principles of Towson’s infamous Mission M250 space chronometer, but boasts an even more impressive array of full-calendar complications with a 7751 caliber. Assembled and decorated in-house in Baltimore, MD. The guilloche dial vests a moonphase window, date-calendar, hour/minute counter sub-dials, day/ month windows, tachymeter, and a 24-hour scale. The Mission Moon MM250-2 is limited to 250 individually-numbered MM250-2 timepieces, available in several custom variant references.
