Inspired by its namesake river's breathtaking sunsets, the Choptank C1 pays homage to earlier beacons guiding vessels up and down this Maryland river.
Inspiration
The breathtaking sunset on the Choptank River, one of Maryland’s best yachting areas exposed to the Chesapeake Bay, gave inspiration to the unique copper/salmon dial on the C1 variation of the ChoptanK.
The Choptank River Lighthouse exhibits the “screwpile” architectural style characteristic of the Chesapeake Bay. It is a faithful and representative recreation of earlier beacons responsible for guiding sailing vessels up and down the Choptank River.
